Come and be part of doing something different

The Dusty Knuckle Is People

Bakers, packers, chefs, managers, baristas, Front of House, delivery staff, food enthusiasts, kitchen porters and teachers. We’re a team of hardworking individuals, and we like it that way. We value our differences, put focus on the person, and have a lot of fun on the way.

We make London’s greatest bread, serve up delicious food for an incredibly loyal customer base, and provide work opportunities to young Londoners with the ambition to make positive changes in their lives. By providing a supportive, busy and diverse environment for those prepared to work hard, we’ve seen many talented and exceptional individuals find the very best of themselves in our midst.

Working in hospitality can be seriously hard. We strive to ensure staff have the support, infrastructure and rest that they need to live balanced and enjoyable lives.

  • I found the job on an off chance, while I was on benefits. I wasn't expecting to get the phone call for a trial but I did. 4 years on, and here I am. Without getting too much into it, let's just say that the opportunities I've been given by TDK have changed not only mine but my kids' lives. What's important to me is the trust I've been given by the owners. I now manage the person who used to manage me, and I'm learning more and more everyday. I think anyone who is thinking about working at TDK should grab the opportunity with both hands. We aren't the biggest company in the world (YET) which is a good thing. Means we can grow, learn and create together. The beauty of it is you get to bounce ideas off of each other. It's a growing family of a mix of people from all walks of life who are not judged or stereotyped by their co-workers.

Josiah, Head of Packing & Logistics

  • To say that there's an opportunity to progress at TDK is an understatement. A very classical example is me. From a porter to a pastry chef in a relatively short time is something I find difficult to comprehend. But I must say that's all down to TDK and the training they gave me. I'm loving my time on pastry. The work culture is second to none.

    Ish, Pastry Chef

  • TDK is without a doubt the best bread in town. Adjusting to the early mornings and hard physical graft is so worth it when you cut into that lovely loaf. I really appreciate the encouragement to be creative and follow your intuition on new ideas and try new recipes. TDK has connections with other bakeries and food businesses, so they can hook you up with a day working elsewhere to build up connections and experiences which is great! I love that we utilise our successful business to make a positive impact by giving opportunities to at risk young people
