Youth Programme

The idea of our youth programme is very very simple. Young people who make bad choices do so because, for them, they are the best option at the time. At The Dusty Knuckle, we want to give them some better options.

We offer an immersive, real-life training programme in a busy commercial environment for young people who have yet to find their legitimate career path.

We accept referrals from both the community and professional organisations for young people aged 18-25. We target our services at those facing significant barriers to employment.  If you think this might be you or a young person you work with or know then please get in touch.

Trainees come to The Dusty Knuckle from all walks of life, to learn how to contribute their efforts to the hustle of working here.  In doing so they learn their own value.  They learn how to communicate more effectively, how to use their hands, how to take responsibility for themselves, and what it feels like to work inside an effective team that operates with a shared purpose. In time this allows them to experience the psychological and practical rewards of the honest working life that most of us take for granted.

How It Works

We’re very proud to have been recognised with a King’s Award for Enterprise in the Promoting Opportunity through Social Mobility category.

The King’s Awards for Enterpise are the UK’s most prestigious business awards, given on advice of the Prime Minister.

Our award is recognition of how we’ve embedded an impactful Training Programme into our business and is a reflection of the hard work and effort we make every day at The Dusty Knuckle.
